In 2010, he was named one of the top 100 movers and shakers who are influencing the smart grid market by GreenTech Media and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the GridWise Alliance, a smart grid advocacy coalition with the mission to transform the electric grid to achieve a sustainable energy future through the advocacy of well-reasoned smart grid policies at the federal, state, and local levels.

Advanced Technology is SCE’s technology evaluation organization responsible for smart grid development, which includes advanced grid technologies, electric transportation, energy storage, and integration of energy smart consumer products. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Kim was responsible for the Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Readiness Program for Southern California Edison.

(PHI), a regional energy holding company that provides utility service to more than 1.9 million customers in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Lefkowitz is responsible for the mass deployment of AMI Meters and enabling the Smart Grid, transforming internal business processes and empowering customers to manage their energy usage more efficiently. Previous responsibilities include Director of Customer Relations and the Director of Electric System Operations.

Barbara Lockwood is the Director of Energy Innovation for Arizona Public Service (APS) where she orchestrates smart grid, renewable energy and, technology innovation efforts. Prior to her current role, Ms. Lockwood has served as the founding director of Smart Grid as well as the founding director of Renewable Energy at APS. Under Ms. Lockwood’s leadership, APS has initiated a self-healing grid pilot, created and conceived home energy management and electric vehicle programs that take advantage of APS’s 50% customer deployment of smart meters and 55% customer time-of-use rate participation. In addition, Ms. Lockwood developed the award winning Community Power Project - Flagstaff Pilot.

Michael Quinn is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Oncor Electric Delivery. He has been charged with setting the company’s course in identifying technologies and deployment strategies to meet the growing and changing needs of the market. He joined Texas Utilities, Oncor’s predecessor company, in 1988 and has had assignments in Nuclear Generation, Fossil Generation, System Protection, Asset Management, Transmission Operations and Business Development. Over the last fifteen years, he has held numerous management and leadership positions within these organizations.

Michael Pesin has over 29 years of experience in the electric utility industry leading technical organizations and managing advanced technology projects. He is an internationally recognized expert and one of the innovators of the smart grid.
In his current role at Seattle City Light, Mr. Pesin is responsible for defining the utility’s technological strategy and leading utility modernization programs and Seattle’s Smart Grid efforts.
