San Diego Gas & Electric is leading the charge in smart grid deployment. In June 2011, SDG&E released a ten-year roadmap for the development of a smart grid in its service area over the next ten years. GCF West 2012 brought together the western region's major electric power utilities including host utility, SDG&E, and its regional counterparts looking to examine and learn from SDG&E's smart grid technologies and strategies.
